Mn. Cordius Rufus, 46 BC. Denarius (Silver, 20 mm, 3.29 g), Rome. [R]VFVS•S[•C] Head of Venus to right, wearing diadem, pendant earring and pearl necklace. Rev. MN•CORDIVS Cupid riding on the back of a dolphin right, holding reins in both hands. Babelon (Cordia) 3. Crawford 463/3. CRI 65. RBW 1608. Sydenham 977. Nicely toned. Heavily double struck and with two banker's marks on the reverse, otherwise, very fine.
